# Trigger

> Trigger (triggerprice.app) is a free price-alert service for flights and hotels. A registered user searches a trip, sets a target price, and Trigger re-checks prices around the clock. When the price is at or below the target, Trigger emails the user immediately with a link to book on a trusted travel site.

- Name: Trigger. Website: https://triggerprice.app
- Cost: free for travellers (up to 10 active price alerts per account). Some booking links are affiliate links; the traveller's price is unchanged.
- Covers: flights (one-way or return, cabin, flexible dates of up to 3 days, maximum stops, passengers) and hotels (city or specific hotel, dates, guests, rooms, star rating, guest rating, free cancellation).
- Alerts: one email when the target is reached, then again only if the price falls at least 5% more, at most once a day per alert. Alerts end on the travel date.
- Check frequency: from about every 12 hours for trips more than two months away to hourly in the last three days.
- Data: official travel data partners (Travelpayouts network: Aviasales, Hotellook; Google travel results). No scraping. Some prices are recently seen cached prices; the booking site always shows the live price.
- Trigger does not sell travel and never takes payment. Bookings are made on the partner site.
- Languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Russian, Turkish. Prices in local currency.
